Privacy policy

This policy explains how Eduparity Educational Services Private Limited handles your personal data when you use AkkredPrep.

1. Who we are

Eduparity Educational Services Private Limited, Rohtak, Haryana, India
Contact for privacy matters: support@akkredprep.com

2. What we collect

If you create an account

Your name, email address, and password (stored hashed — we never store it in readable form).

If you subscribe

Billing metadata from Razorpay such as transaction reference, amount, date and status. We never receive or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or bank credentials. Those go directly to Razorpay.

As you use the service

Which questions you attempted, your answers, scores, and progress, so we can show you your own performance.

Automatically

IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, for security and to diagnose faults.

The same kind of information is also collected by Google Analytics, together with how you move through a page — which pages you open, where you arrived from, how far you scroll, links you follow away from the site, and files you download. This is on by default. Section 9 explains it and lets you turn it off.

3. Why we use it

To provide the service and your account; to process payments and manage your subscription; to show you your progress; to respond to support requests; to notify you about the service; to detect misuse and account sharing; to understand how the site is used, where you have allowed analytics; and to meet legal and tax obligations.

4. Legal basis and consent

Where we rely on consent — such as marketing email — you gave it freely and can withdraw it at any time by emailing support@akkredprep.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.

5. Who we share it with

Razorpay, for payment processing. Our hosting provider, for storing the service. Email service providers, for sending you service messages. Google, for website analytics, unless you have turned it off — see section 9. Professional advisers and authorities where legally required. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

6. How long we keep it

Account and progress data for as long as your account is active, and for up to 24 months after it closes. Transaction records for 8 years as required by Indian tax law.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. Access to personal data is restricted to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. You may withdraw consent at any time. You may complain to the Data Protection Board of India. Email support@akkredprep.com and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Cookies

Two cookies are necessary for the site to work — keeping you logged in and keeping your session secure. These are always set, because without them you could not sign in.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — which pages are opened, where visitors arrive from, how far they read, and which links they follow. This is on by default, and it sets Google's own cookies, which are not needed for the site to work.

You can turn it off below. If you do, we remember that in a cookie of our own for twelve months and no further request is made to Google from this site — not on this page, and not on any page you visit afterwards. You can turn it back on in the same place.

We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell cookie data.

10. International transfer

Our servers and service providers may be located outside India. Where data is transferred internationally we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected.

11. Children

AkkredPrep is for medical graduates and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified by email or on the site.
